Re-Frame

Branding
Branding for a series of talks at Chelsea College of Arts, where industry professionals with varying practices share insights into their work.

This was a group project, and my role was to develop the branding and visual identity.

Strategy

Our goal was to create a brand that could be easily adapted for each speaker while clearly communicating the purpose of the talks. With this in mind, we chose the concept of ‘Re-frame.’ This concept reflects the idea of viewing challenges, ideas, and solutions from new perspectives. It aligns with the core aim of the talks: to encourage students to think differently and expand their creative thinking. Just as a frame shapes what we see, ‘reframing’ invites us to explore alternative viewpoints, sparking creativity and innovation in design thinking.

This idea became the foundation for every design choice and brand element.

Logo Design

Our logo merges frame-like brackets with an asterisk, symbolizing both structure and inspiration. The brackets convey focus, while the asterisk signifies a moment of growth and exploration. Combined, they form the shape of a head, reflecting a human-centered approach and the exchange of ideas that drive our talks.

Visual Design

We aimed to create a visual identity that could evolve with each speaker, reflecting their unique perspectives and body of work. Through form and colour, the frame was adapted to best represent each guest’s practice, while motion further emphasized its flexibility. This approach allowed us to highlight shifts in perspective and the fluid exchange of ideas — making each event feel fresh, dynamic, and personalized.
