Tunezy



BrandingUI Design For Gen Z, music is a key way to connect with others. However, with over 60% of Gen Z experiencing social anxiety, meeting other music lovers in person can feel both challenging and overwhelming.

Tunezy is a music chatroom platform that provides a safe digital space for Gen Z to connect over music. It removes the anxiety of face-to-face interactions, allowing users to share their favorite tunes, discover new artists, and bond with like-minded music lovers—all without the pressure. It’s the perfect place to listen and share your favourite tunez, connect with people of similar tastes, and find people to attend concerts with—all while discovering new music along the way.

This was a collaborative project, and my role included project management alongside leading the UI design.




Strategy

Our goal was to create a welcoming space where users can relax, enjoy music, and connect with others, just like in person, but without the intimidation. We aimed to give users control over their experience, allowing them to personalize their time online and build lasting connections within their comfort zone.




Visual System

At the core of the visual identity, we aimed to create something that felt like an inviting space for music connection. We wanted it to be welcoming, fun, and expressive—capturing the essence of sharing music and building connections through it.

Vibrant colors were used to represent the diversity of genres, while curved shapes conveyed a sense of togetherness and warmth, symbolizing how music brings people together in an open, inclusive way.



Verbal System


Tunezy's voice is casual and friendly, making users feel like they’re chatting with a friend. It’s playful and energetic, capturing the excitement of music, while remaining accessible with clear, simple language. Inclusive and welcoming, it creates a sense of belonging, always staying true to its mission and the spirit of the Gen Z community.




UX/UI Design 

Tunezy at its core is designed for music lovers to connect and enjoy music together. Users can create "Rooms" where they queue and listen to their favorite tracks with others in real-time. The platform also allows users to meet new people, share music, and bond over shared tastes. Additionally, users can share which concerts they’re attending, making it easier to find others with similar interests to join them.




Community Touchpoints

Expanding beyond the digital space, Tunezy aims to create real-life social events called Tunezy Meetups for those looking to connect with others in person. Imagine attending an event where everyone shares the same music taste, offering a natural and exciting opportunity to make new friends. These events are designed to bring music lovers together, fostering a sense of community and making it easier to bond over shared interests. 

DJ takeovers on Tunezy offer a unique opportunity for users to experience live, exclusive sessions with famous DJs in a fun and interactive online setting. These special chat rooms bring the energy of typically high-priced events directly to the platform, making them accessible to everyone. Fans can engage, listen to their favorite DJs, and connect with others in real-time, all from the comfort of their own space.
